The Team

Deborah Barnard – Concept, Course Design & Lead Trainer

Deborah has extensive experience working within the creative sector combining artistic practice with arts/business management at Senior Executive level. She currently works as a freelance Creative Consultant, Facilitator & Coach, specialising in working cultures, organisational & personal development and leadership.

Deborah is a coach for both the NESTA & Clore Leadership Initiatives and designer of 'The Leadership Dynamic' training programme.  She designs and delivers the personal leadership module for the Creative Leadership MA - John Moores University, Liverpool and for the 3rd year trainees in Clinical Psychology (Doctorate) at Lancaster University.

She is also a trainer/facilitator for the international 'Dreams & Teams' leadership programme for young people (British Council Sports & Youth Sports Trust) and was recently commissioned by the Cultural Leadership Programme to develop the 'Coaching Skills for Leadership' foundation course, delivered and designed with Carol Wilson.

Deborah achieved full membership with the Association for Coaching (UK) in 2005 and is a BBC Accredited Coach.



Rivca Rubin - Co-trainer 

Rivca is a creative trainer, facilitator, mediator and coach working with a wide range of organisations and individuals within the cultural, education and higher education sectors throughout the UK.

 
She specialises in team development, conflict resolution, change management. Rivca has been co-designing the Creative Agent training for Creative Partnerships in Merseyside & Manchester/Salford. Rivca is a consultant to the CITE programme developing 'mentoring for creativity' training for teachers.

Rivca is designer of The Arts of Coaching & The CreativeCoach training programmes and runs intensive short courses in the areas of interpersonal communication, creative thinking and conflict management.

Rivca has an M.SC in Applied Behavioural Sciences, is an NLP Master Practitioner, Independent Trainer of NVC and has Level One Certification in Spiral Dynamics. She has studied Philosophy and System Thinking and has extensive training & experience in movement and BodyMind techniques. She was a Research Fellow at Manchester Metropolitan University; Dept of Contemporary Arts for four years.



Carol Wilson – Programme Accreditation Consultant

Carol Wilson is Managing Director of Performance Coach Training and on the Executive Committee for Performance Consultants International and is Head of Accreditation and Honorary Vice President at the Association for Coaching. She experienced the value of a coaching culture first hand while working at board level with Richard Branson at Virgin, where she became the first woman to found and run a successful record company. Accredited as an AC and a BBC coach, Carol now focuses on transformational leadership, consulting with organisations to transform their cultures, providing external accreditation to organisations, and is a keynote speaker, broadcaster and writer. Carol was nominated for the Association for Coaching Awards for Influence and Impact in Coaching.

Carol has written many articles about coaching and is the author of a comprehensive guide to coaching called ‘Best Practice in Performance Coaching; a Handbook for Leaders, HR Professionals, Coaches and Organisations’, featuring Forewords by Sir John Whitmore and Sir Richard Branson (Kogan Page 2007).
